President Craig J. Brown, MD, FACS
Craig Brown, a native of NW Arkansas and an Advanced Reiki Practitioner, is a practicing surgeon
and respected member of the NW Arkansas medical community. With twenty-five years experience
in medicine, Dr. Brown brings to TRI a critically important understanding of the potential
and the challenges in bringing Reiki to conventional medical treatment. His deep commitment to medicine and healing coupled with his training both in medicine and Reiki, guides the high standards in TRI's treatment, education, and research programs.
Executive Vice President Phyllis J. Kates, MA
Phyllis Kates, an advanced Reiki practitioner, brings to TRI a diverse background in communications, teaching, and project management. She has taught classes in communication at Purdue, Northern Illinois University, and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Retired from Wal-Mart as a project manager/writer in the Marketing Division, Mrs. Kates now applies her considerable abilities in writing, editing, layout, and design to all aspects of Institute operations, in addition to serving as a Case Manager involved in client treatments.
Vice President Suzanne E. Parnell, PhD, RM
Suzanne Parnell, a Reiki Master trained by John Harvey Gray, brings to
TRI thirty years experience in university teaching, alternative healing, Reiki, and
energy science, as well as extensive experience in corporate and real estate management and finance. In addition to teaching courses in Reiki through TRI, Dr. Parnell teaches Reiki, earth healing, and energy work at the Ajna Center for Reiki in Fayetteville. A writer and lecturer on Reiki and subtle energies, she is active in all aspects of TRI development and operations.
Secretary Patricia C. Linthicum
Patricia Linthicum, an advanced Reiki Practitioner,
brings to TRI twenty-eight years experience as a legal secretary, legal transcriptionist,
administrative assistant, and paralegal. She has served as secretary for Retail Marketing at Tyson Foods, as administrative secretary with the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and as legal secretary for the Criminal District Attorney, Galveston County, TX. Mrs. Linthicum's breadth of knowledge in legal and administrative matters and her administrative skills are invaluable to TRI's Executive Board and to TRI operations.
Treasurer Brenda K. McCrory
Brenda McCrory, an Advanced Reiki Practitioner, brings to TRI experience in business management, advertising, sales, bookkeeping, and design consulting. Currently employed in the Communication Department at the University of Arkansas, Ms. McCrory is Coordinator of the TRI Distance Healing Group in addition to her duties as Treasurer.
Director of Case Management Frank R. Thompson, RN, CRRN, RM
Frank Thompson, a Reiki Master in the lineage of John Harvey Gray, has twenty-two years in nursing. He presently works as Nursing Supervisor and Case Manager in a Long Term Acute Care Hospital with a focus on Gerontology Rehab. With a wide range of nursing experience that includes alcohol and drug counseling, orthopedics, cardiology critical care, and pediatrics, Mr. Thompson brings to TRI a deep understanding of medical procedure, the needs of patients, and the effective use of Reiki in working with patients hands-on.
